Innovative and eco-friendly concept for cosmetic chemistry – alternative cosmetic formulations with reduced water content

• The objective of this research project will be design, methodology development and characterization of novel eco-friendly materials based on a mixture of natural polymers and oily substances and intended for cosmetic and dermatological applications.
• Carriers of active compounds in the form of polymer microparticles, which have the ability to protect active substances and to control their release, will be incorporated into prepared materials.
• Reducing water usage for product formulation is a responsible attitude towards the climate change and the global water crisis.
• The project results will contribute to environmental protection and the development in the field of cosmetic chemistry and materials science.
