| Description of the project |
Characteristics and main objectives of the research project:
- Preparation of emulsions containing selected colorants, antioxidants, active agents extracted from natural sources. Study of the skin properties after topical application of the cosmetic formulation.
- Modifications of natural polymers to obtain new ingredients for cosmetic application and to improve the adhesion of the cosmetic formulation to the skin surface.
- Study of the chemical structure of new compounds using FTIR-spectrophotometer, NMR spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectrometer, XRD. Study of skin properties using instruments: colorimeter, sebumeter, corneometer, tewameter. Study of rheological properties of the cosmetic emulsions with natural polymers. Study of coloring properties of cosmetic ingredients and stability of cosmetic formulation in different conditions.
- Development of new color cosmetics, personal care cosmetics based on selected natural ingredients.
