Effects of extremely low-frequency magnetic field in the brain of rats
Title of the project | Effects of extremely low-frequency magnetic field in the brain of rats |
Primary and secondary scientific disciplines | Primary discipline: biology
Secondary discipline: physics |
Description of the project | Characteristics and main objectives of the research project:
· The main goal of the project is explaining the fundamental mechanisms of neuronal responses to ELF-MF · The project integrates analyses on molecular, biochemical and behavioural levels, which will allow a better understanding of the ELF-MF effect on the organism · The results will allow for estimate of the actual risk associated with exposure to ELF-MF and will lead to a new view on possible therapeutic properties of magnetic field The project is conducted in cooperation with The University of Edinburgh, UK Principal supervisor: dr hab. Justyna Rogalska, prof. NCU |
