Beata Niklas
The first and second name | Beata Niklas |
University | Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń, Poland |
Faculty | Faculty of Biological and Veterinary Sciences,
Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics |
I graduated from the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG&MUG, where I worked with biologically active compounds from carnivorous plants. As a person that is always ready to learn new things, I took up the challenge to change the field. Coming from Gdańsk to Toruń I switched the pipette to a computer and micro to the nanoscale to take a deep insight into plasma membrane receptors. I found myself in the Theoretical Molecular Biophysics Group in which we are using molecular dynamics to investigate the molecular mechanisms of proteins.
Apart from my PhD studies, I am a big enthusiast of clean-meat production by in vitro cultures and would love to contribute to the development of this technology.
