Project

In 2012 I’ve started to study animal biotechnology at the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz. During this cycle of study, I participated in the Erasmus plus exchange program. I was studying at the University of Cagliari in Italy for 6 months. I’ve graduated in 2016 as a Bachelor of Engineering in the field of biotechnology. The same year, I’ve started to study Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at The Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. I was conducting research in the area of rheumatoid diseases in the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy Polish Academy of Sciences at the laboratory of Clinical Immunogenetics and Pharmacogenetics. My master thesis title was “Polymorphism and expression of selected miRNA molecules in patients with rheumatic diseases”. The issue included analysis of Single Nucleotide Polymorphism analysis in three miRNA molecules and analysis of the expression level of selected miRNA molecules in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Psoriatic Arthritis (PA) patients serum. These patients were treated with the experimental treatment method included anti-TNF inhibitors. The aim of the analysis was to define novel molecular markers for disease activity, the efficiency of the cure and genetic risk of rheumatic diseases development.

In 2017 I’ve started working in Polish Stem Cells Bank in Warsaw as a specialist for cell culturing. My main responsibilities were isolation and culturing of Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC) derived from the umbilical cord. Also, I was preparing the final biological product including MSC for patients cured during Medical Therapeutic Experiment. My scientific interests always were focused on experimental medicine.
